Unlike my French name might suggest, I am a Brazilian-Portuguese sommelier who has traveled the world in pursuit of wine. Based in Napa Valley, California, I possess a unique blend of digital marketing and wine expertise. I founded Somm Digital, a consulting firm that develops and implements innovative digital marketing strategies specializing in wineries. I also lecture at Sonoma State University in Sonoma, California, focusing on Wine E-commerce and Digital Marketing.
Before relocating to Napa, I spent over five years working with digital media agencies in London, England, and Dublin, Ireland, managing the digital marketing for large corporate accounts including Bank of Ireland and eircom (telecom). With 12 years of experience in the wine industry, I have held high-knowledge positions such as head sommelier for the Michelin-starred restaurant Bon Appetit in Dublin, Ireland, and Café Journal in Brazil. I also held finance and marketing roles with Inglenook winery, Delicato Family Wines, and Naked Wines. I am renowned for my exceptional palate, proven when I won the 2014 Top Taster blind wine tasting competition at Flavor! Napa Valley. I hold a Master's degree in Electronic Business from University College Dublin, an executive certificate in Digital Marketing Analytics from MIT Sloan School of Business, an Honors degree in Mathematics, and a Professional Certificate in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute.
